The checklist....

So, in an attempt to organise myself for Sunday, I've written a fairly exhaustive checklist...

  • Race pack with security wristband, race number (details filled out), photo ID, sticky race numbers
  • Wetsuit

  • Standing-on-towel
  • Hand towel

  • Bottles (one on bike, one in box)

  • Garmin wriststrap
  • Foot pump
  • Sunscreen
  • Transition box
  • Post race clothes and shoes
  • Mobile phone and cash in transition box

This list keeps growing, yet I'm sure I'm going to forget something....

My first blog :)

Well, here goes nothing.  This blog is going to be my training log and my soap box.  An attempt to document my journey from semi-serious runner to (hopefully....maybe...) a GB Age Grouper.  It'll also involve me spouting off about things which I deem spoutable.

So first, a little about me...

I am 20 years old and from Pembrokeshire, which is in deepest, darkest South Wales *cue the banjos*.  Currently spending majority of my time in South London *cue the gunshots* at St.  George's University of London where I'm in my 1st year studying Medicine.

I've been running on and off for a few years now, but have taken the plunge and signed up to do The London Triathlon.  This is in 3 days......*cue the fear*  Training is going well though and I have hopes of getting a sub 2:30 on Sunday, as long as nothing horrendous happens....like I lose my goggles, or I punc (can't say the word) ture, or I cramp, or I bonk, or I cry.

So, until Sunday...or possibly Monday....
